MEMBER INFORMATION
 | Seaport Quilters Guild boasts a membership of
well over 100 members. We have a lot of fun sharing, winning prizes,
supporting each other, and teaching one another the fabric arts. |
 | Also, at our monthly meetings, members are
encouraged to bring a fat-quarter of a given theme. A drawing is
held among the participants and the winner goes home with a bundle of
new fat quarters. |
 | Quilt Camp is an awesome weekend away from
home, where you can sew all day in your jammies if you wish. Many
UFO's (un finished objects) are brought home completed....finally! |
 | We meet on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00pm at the Pautler
Senior Center in Clarkston, WA. Those who wish to
participate make and bring a "block-of-the-month" and then participate
in a drawing to win them. Meetings feature an instructional program by local
experts or members. |
 | Each month members receive a newsletter with announcements, guild
activities, and the block-of-the-month pattern. Also included
are helpful hints and articles related to quilting. |
 | On the 4th weekend in April the guild holds its annual quilt show
in conjunction with the Lewis-Clark Valley Dogwood Festival.
Dozens of quilts are displayed along with many items for sale.
A
Featured Quilter is selected. Her (or his) quilts will be prominently
displayed so all can admire her work. |
 | The guild schedules various workshops and classes for members to
learn new techniques, improve their quilting skills, and to preserve
the knowledge and mastery of the fabric arts. |
 | Our June meeting is a family affair with a potluck picnic in a
local park. The December meeting is a Christmas dinner meeting
held at a local restaurant with a pot holder exchange. |
 | The Guild maintains a library of over 200 quilting books which
members can borrow. Each year our librarian has a budget of
approximately $200 which she can spend to expand our resources. |
